Eleanor Schreiner Demple, 89, of Sheridan, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.  She was born in St. Nicholas, MN to Alois Schreiner and Magdelena (Binsfield) Schreiner on July 22, 1928. Eleanor grew up in Minnesota with her two brothers and graduated from high school.

She began her career as a seamstress for Munsingwear in Minneapolis. Later, she moved to Casper, WY to work for Mountain Bell as a secretary.  Here she met her future husband, Robert Demple.  They were married in Pierz, MN on May 1, 1954.

The couple had three children while living in Casper, then relocated to Sheridan where she continued to be a fulltime mother and housewife.  Eleanor was an active member of Holy Name Catholic Church.  She was also, active with the Altar and Rosary Society, as a Catechism Teacher, and a Thrift Shop volunteer.  Eleanor enjoyed being a Girl Scout Leader as well.

Her greatest accomplishment was being a member of Holy Name Thrift Shop, where she restored and made clothing for dolls and either donated them to children in need or raffled them off at bazaars.  It was there, where she made close friendships with the ladies.

Eleanor was a strong, determined woman who was up for any challenge.  She believed, “God does not give you a Cross to Bear, unless He knows you can handle it.”  She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Robert.  She leaves behind three daughters, Lori Demple, Patricia Demple, and Janice Demple Gosch all of Sheridan; and one granddaughter, Heather Gosch McDill and her husband, Dusty of Black Hills, SD.  She also, had strong ties with Stifel Nicholas Associates whom she regarded as family.
