Funeral services for Wyatt Blakeman, 15 year old Kaycee youth who passed away early Friday morning, way before his time, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, will be held Friday, December 29th at 2:00 p.m. in the Harold Jarrard Park Building in Kaycee with Pastor Mickey Wells officiating.  Visitation will be held at the Harness Funeral Home in Buffalo on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday in Kaycee from 12:00 until 1:30 p.m.  A private family interment will be held later.  Donations in Wyatt’s memory may be made to the Powder River 4-H Club in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Wyatt Daniel Blakeman was born on August 20, 2002 in Buffalo to Matt and Shy Blakeman.  Wyatt was home schooled and lived with his family in Gillette until 2013 when they moved to Kaycee.  They were living in Kaycee at the time of his death. Wyatt was an avid reader and enjoyed hunting with his dogs and was learning the art of making knives.  He was a member of the Kaycee Buckeroo Basketball Team.

 

He is survived by his parents, Matt and Shy Blakeman of Kaycee; one brother Rio Blakeman also of Kaycee; his Paternal grandparents, David and Carole Blakeman of Basin, Wyoming; his maternal grandparents, Dan and Sherri Fraker of Kaycee; two uncles, Luke Blakeman and his wife Kamisha of Buffalo and Shawn Fraker and his wife Tracy of Rosebud, Montana.
