Evanston, Douglas and Sheridan host the 2017 State Golf Tournaments.
It’s been reported by the Wyoming High School Activities Association that competition days for the State Golf Tournaments have been altered from original schedule due to weather concerns. Here is the correct schedule:
4A at Evanston:
Monday and Tuesday September 18-19
Defending Champs:
Girls Individual: Kynsie Valdez (Natrona)
Boys Team Champ: Riverton – Attempting 5-peat
Girls Team Champ: Kelly Walsh – Won first title last year.
3A at Douglas:
Thursday and Friday September 14-15
Defending Champs:
Boys Individual: Hudson Roling (Thermopolis)
Girls Individual: Macy Jacobsen (Lander) – Attempting 3-peat.
Boys Team Champ: Wheatland
Girls Team Champ: Lander
2A at Sheridan (Big Horn and Tongue River Hosts):
Monday and Tuesday September 18-19
Defending Champs:
Boys Team Champ: Wright
Girls Team Champ: Tongue River – Won first title last year.
All-State: There is no voting. To get all-state recognition, a golfer MUST place in the top 10 scoring-wise at the state meet.
