Betty Rose Frey was born November 11, 1925 in New Salem, ND to Lee and Marie Waddell. She passed away September 16, 2017 with family by her side, at the Greenhouse in Sheridan, WY.

Betty was married to Philip G. Frey (1924-2013) for 67 years and raised four children, Linda Frey, Toby (LuAnn) Frey, Lynette (Steve) Haggbloom, and Beth (Ron) Curry. Betty is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister, and many nieces and nephews.

When Betty was nine years old she moved to Moorcroft, WY with her parents and sisters, Irene and Ione. She graduated from Moorcroft High School in 1944 and started nurses’ cadet training before marrying Phil in 1946.

Betty and Phil moved to Sheridan, WY in 1954. She enjoyed homemaking and raising her children while Phil started Freyco and Sheridan Propane. Betty eventually joined the family business as bookkeeper and worked alongside Phil for many years. After retirement they renovated a house on Pioneer Road and enjoyed many years watching the buffalo and elk in front of their house. As parents, Betty and Phil loved hosting their family for holidays, rodeo week, and many other get-togethers. Besides traveling and spending time in their Arizona winter home, Betty enjoyed playing golf and cards, making crafts, growing and tending her flowers, and meeting with her Tuesday morning coffee friends. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, PEO and the BPOE Does.
