Large crowds and a wealth of activities create a number of issues for local law enforcement.
Buffalo’s Longmire Days, the Big Horn Mountain Festival, and a swim meet brought thousands to the little city on Clear Creek but according to Police Chief Jason Carder, the weekend event was easily handled by his department.
Carder did admit that the 3-day event was not without issues…
Even a black bear decided to take in the festivities as well…
His department also dealt with a few traffic accidents, including at least three hit and runs.
All in all, Buffalo’s crime during the weekend pales in comparison to what Sheriff Longmire deals with in the fictitious Durant, Wyoming.
