Private graveside funeral services for Charlotte Irigaray, 87 year old Buffalo resident who passed away Tuesday afternoon at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo will be held by her family in Willow Grove Cemetery.  Donations in Charlotte’s memory may made to the Amie Holt Care Center in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Charlotte Anne Irigaray was born on September 11, 1929 in Midwest, Wyoming, the fifth of ten children born to Leland and Florence Durand.  She grew up and went to school in Barnum and Mayoworth and later attended the Johnson County High School in Buffalo.  She was married on March 29, 1948 in Buffalo to Joseph P. Irigaray and they made their home on the family ranch on Powder River southeast of Buffalo where they raised their family.  Joe passed away suddenly in March of 1983 and Charlotte lived on the ranch until 1990 when she moved into Buffalo.  She continued living in Buffalo until her death. Charlotte enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time at her cabin in the Big Horns.

 

She is survived by one son Charles Irigaray of Buffalo; two daughters Christine Irigaray and Nancy Irigaray both of Buffalo; one brother Harvey Durand and his wife Ann of Grand Junction, Colorado; one grandson Brian Jafek of Bremerton, Washington; three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers and four sisters.
