Christmas may be 6 weeks away, but Christmas tree permits are now available for the Bighorn National Forest, according to Brian Boden with the US Forest Service…
Permits for trees up to 10 feet tall can be purchased at the Forest Service offices in Buffalo and Sheridan for $8 each.
Permits for trees larger than 10 feet can be purchased as well.
Also, the Forest Service will once again offer one free Christmas tree permit to local 4th graders who have a valid “Every Kid in a Park pass.
The passes are available online at www.everykidinapark.gov.
