Clifton “Jeff” Bolinger passed away on December 2, 2016 (his Birthday) at the age of 87 years old in Sheridan, Wyoming. At Jeff’s request, no services will be held. Memorials to honor Jeff may be made to the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter, 84 East Ridge Rd., Sheridan, WY  82801, Elks Lodge #520, Building Fund, 45 W. Brundage, Sheridan, WY  82801 or donor’s choice.

Jeff was born in Huntsville, Arkansas to Claud and Cora (Fowler) Bolinger on December 2, 1929.  The Bolinger family moved from Arkansas to Ucross, Wyoming when Jeff was five years old.  The Bolinger family ranched at Ucross for many years.  Jeff attended the Ucross School and graduated from Clearmont High School.  He married his high school sweetheart Bonnie L. Schuman in 1948 and they were later divorced.  They raised their four children on ranches at Ucross, near Buffalo, and later outside Clearmont, Wyoming.

Jeff married Edna Schwabauer on January 23, 1981 in Sheridan, Wyoming where they resided until the time of his death.  Jeff loved to camp and fish in the Bighorn Mountains, enjoyed Western movies/music, and playing cards with many of his life-long friends.  He was a member of the Elks Lodge #520.  Jeff could be very “high-spirited” at times, stubborn as hell, and wasn’t afraid to speak his mind.  He loved Wyoming and the people along Piney and Clear Creeks.  Later in life, he enjoyed going to garage sales with his wife Edna.  Now we’ll be cleaning out his garage and sheds for years to come.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Edna; his and her children, Charlie (Mike) Lovejoy of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Gene Bolinger of Sheridan, and Carol (Bob) Gridley of Cascade, Idaho; three grandchildren, Jason (Chris) Levine, Jessie Lovejoy, and Shimmering (Ted) Katseres; and five great-grandchildren; Edna’s children, David Schwabauer of Sheridan, Cindy (Brad) Huson of San Antonio, Texas, Sherry Schwabauer of Pleasanton, Texas, and Debra Clemens of Sheridan; six step grandchildren, Jerry Clemens, Amy Huson, Scott (Liz) Huson, Michael Schwabauer, Seth Schwabauer, and Spencer Schwabauer; and three step great grandsons; his sister, Chris (Don) Lane of Scottsdale, Arizona; brother, Truman (Barbara) Bolinger of Sun City, Arizona; several nieces and nephews; and close relative, Wilma Fowler-Wallace (Larry) of Buffalo, Wyoming.

He was preceded in death by his parents Claud and Cora Bolinger, former wife, Bonnie (Schuman) Littrell, daughter, Diana K. Bolinger, sister, Maxine (Ed) Cook, grandson, Jeff L. Bolinger, and many life-long friends and close relatives Olen, Ruby, and Leslie Fowler.

Thanks, Dad for all you taught us (good and bad).  You were loved and will be missed by your family and friends.  Good-bye cowboy – Tell Johnny Cash and John Wayne hello!
