Local law enforcement and the Johnson County Emergency Management Office are already preparing for the huge influx of visitors to the area to experience the total solar eclipse in August.

While Casper is in primary path for the major eclipse on August 21st, the expected number of visitors will impact a variety of services in the immediate area.

A solar eclipse hasn’t happened since 1999 and occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun.
