Ellen Janet Tidball, 91, went to her heavenly home to be with the Lord on October 13, 2016. Janet was born in Raton, New Mexico, on August 19, 1925. She was the only child of Ellen Ruth and James Faye Gray. Janet gave her life to Jesus at the age of 13 and loved and honored Him her entire life. In 1942 she received a scholarship to Colorado College and attended for 3 years until she met the love of her life, Clayton Tidball. They were married in 1944 and had 55 wonderful full years together and traveled the world before he preceded her in death in 2000. During her long life, Janet lived vibrantly and loved to share many of her experiences and travel adventures. Music was an important part of Janet's life and she sang in chorales and choirs all her life.

She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother, and a wonderful friend to all who had the privilege to know her.

Janet is survived by a daughter Ellen Dumelle and her husband Edward of Buffalo; a son James Tidball (Jim) and former daughter-in-law Lois Applehans of Yukon, Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren: Wendy Elliott (Matt) of Thornton, Colorado, Diane Kehm (Alex) of Port Orchard, Washington, Stuart Tidball (Crystal) of Cypress, Texas, and Matthew Tidball of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and 3 great grandchildren, Maggie, Alexander, and Joshua.

Donations may be made in Janet's memory to First United Methodist Church of Buffalo. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.  Online condolences may be written at www.championfh.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Champion Funeral Home.
