The Johnson County Commission approved a pension agreement for employees of the county-operated Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum at its meeting earlier today.

Up until now, members of the museum staff were under a separate pension program and according to Assistant County Attorney Barry Crago, there has been an ongoing effort to bring them into the Wyoming Retirement System.

In response to a public comment, Chairman Bill Novotny explained why the change was necessary…

The museum employs 3 full-time staff members.
