A celebration of the unique life of Georgia Efferson, 73 year old Buffalo resident who passed away Wednesday at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo will be held Saturday, May 13th at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Buffalo.  Donations in Mrs. Efferson’s memory may be made to the Buffalo Church of Christ in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Georgia Lynn Efferson was born on October 14, 1943 in Decatur, Illinois to Earl and Bernadine Ruthrauff.  She grew up and went to school in Illinois and California and graduated from San Bernadino High School with the class of 1961.  After high school she attended San Bernadino Community College where she received an Associates in Business.  She was married in the early 1970’s to Don Bochkay and they made their home in Southern California where Georgia worked in a Harley Davidson shop in their parts and accessories department.  They moved to Nevada where Mr. Bochkay passed away in 1982.  She later met Jim Efferson and they were married in 1987 in Las Vegas, Nevada and they made their home in Southern California.  They moved to Buffalo in 2001 where Georgia was a school bus driver.  Mr. Efferson passed away in 2004 and Georgia continued living in Buffalo.  She retired in 2015 and was living in Buffalo at the time of her death.

 

Georgia had a passion for Motor Cycles and rode in many parades in Buffalo and in the area.  She also loved her Standard Poodles.

 

She is survived by one daughter, Shawna De Puente and her spouse Kristi Wynne of Euless, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents and two husbands.
