Buffalo Council Meets Today, Commissioners Wednesday

buffalocityhallThe Buffalo City Council will meet tonight for their regularly scheduled meeting at 5 pm at City Hall. Items on the agenda include the third and final reading of an ordinance vacating a portion of an alleyway in the city. Council will hear from Rick Myers of First Northern Bank, regarding a variance for water connections outside of City limits. An accounting services proposal from Dooley and Jelly will follow.

City Planner Zach Montgomery will present an update to Council on grants and construction throughout the City, followed by reports from Building Inspector Toby Rhoades, City Attorney Ben Kirven, Police Chief Jason Carder, Public Works Director Les Hook, and City/County Engineer Wayne Hill.

The Johnson County Commissioners will meet tomorrow morning at their regular time, 9 am. The meeting was moved for several reasons, the first being the primary election. The second reason was to have a discussion with the Wyoming Game and Fish regarding the Lake DeSmet lease, which the Sheridan County Commissioners approved today. The Commissioners are expected to make a decision on the lease prior to September. Commissioners also want to clear the air regarding recent matters with County Attorney Ken DeCock.
