Jeanne Carmen McKinney Goodman, 86, of Sheridan passed away on June 21, 2018.

Jeanne was born March 14, 1932 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Esther (Johns) and Gerald McKinney. She grew up in Sheridan, graduating from Sheridan High School in 1950. She married Kenneth (Babe) Goodman on September 15, 1951, and together they had four children, Tannya, Karl, Willie and Casey. Throughout the years, she was a 4-H leader helping with demonstrations, a Cub Scout Den Mother and a life member of the PTA. She went to work as a nursing assistant at the Sheridan VA Medical Center, later retiring to care for her mother. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Big Horn Historical Society.  She enjoyed the women’s group at church, her monthly luncheons with the Red Hat Society and Class of 1950, and especially her time spent with the “Fat Ladies” and her Thursday morning coffee gals. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and family genealogy, but most of all, she loved kids and the time she was able to spend with them. Jeanne spent many of her days with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren creating priceless memories.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, younger sister Jodie Ann, and daughter, Tannya. She is survived by sons, Karl, Willie, and Casey (Susan); grandson Jacob Goodman (Emily Johnson); granddaughters Brandi (John) Clifton and Carissa Goodman (Christopher Rasmussen); and great-grandsons Colby Clifton and Garrett Clifton.  

Memorials to honor Jeanne can be made to the First Christian Church,102 South Connor, Sheridan, WY 82801.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 29, 2018, at the First Christian Church with Pastor Doug Goodwin officiating. A reception will follow immediately at the church.
