John "Jack" Boyd Burke, 73, of Sheridan passed away on Wednesday October 12, 2016 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 4, 1943 in Anaconda, MT to parents Dorothy (Rossland) Burke and John Burke.  Jack was married to Jennifer and they had 4 children and later divorced. Afterwards, Jack married Wanda and they had 3 children and divorced in 1996.  Later, Jack married Elaine B. Davis in December 1998.

Jack was a man of great service to the community. He volunteered at the food bank, the Wyo Theatre, lunch together, and had been a volunteer at the Senior Center.  He was a Hospice volunteer for several years before becoming the Hospice Chaplain for Sheridan Memorial Hospital in July 2015.  Jack was a member of the Sheridan Ministerial Association. He was also, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Jack loved people and animals. He had many friends. He enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling, going to plays and the Opera. Jack also, liked spending time with his wife and dog and cat.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jason. He is survived by his wife, Elaine of Sheridan; and children Jamie, Jodie, and Jeff all of Texas. Also, daughter, Cecily Case of Las Vegas, NV, daughter, Chjelsea (T.J. Karch) of Woodstock, Georgia, and son, Jacob (Amanda) of Phoenix, Arizona; 8 Grandchildren, and 1 Great Grand Child.

A visitation with family and friends will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 am Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2051 Colonial Dr. in Sheridan. A Memorial service will immediately follow at 10:00 am also, at the church with Bishop Joseph Katschke officiating.
