Marcia Ann Thomson, 80, of Story passed away November 24th, 2016.  Services will be held at at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2016, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Casper, WY, with Father Thomas officiating. A reception will follow the service.

She was born to the late Joseph and Ruth Novotny on June 1, 1936, in Chamberlain, South Dakota. Marcia attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and Winner High School before attending Wayne State Teachers College. She retired in 1998 as the CFO for NPRD FCU. Marcia was an active member of the community and friend to all.

Family and friends were Marcia’s passion and delight. Marcia live to love and serve. She grew up on a Farm in Winner, South Dakota with her late brothers Jodi and Tom along with her three surviving sisters whom she loved unconditionally, Maxie Nelson, Ruth Hudson and Linda Hughes.

Golf, bridge, gardening and playing the piano brought Marcia joy. She was also known as a notorious marbles master and Indian leg wrestling champion. She enjoyed hosting family get togethers and social gatherings at her home in story that she shared with her late husband Charles Thomson.

Marcia is survived by her children Karen Schuman, Jane Connely and Edwin Schuman. Her step children Keith Thomson, Tammy Cowen and Rick Thomson. Twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and Friends.

Marcia requested a small graveside service and to be placed next to her daughter Nancy Ann Spiva and husband Charles. The family makes a heartfelt thank you to everyone for the outpouring of love and support. In lieu of flowers Marcia requested that memorial contributions be made to the Story Fire Department or Story Library.
