The Buffalo Downtown Association announced plans to erect a sound system on Main Street.  The project will start with a few speakers around Crazy Woman Square and will eventually branch out to include speakers lining Main Street.  BDA Director Jon Cordonier says this sound system will be utilized to announce parades, play music during Light Up Buffalo and the Monster March, as well as public announcements and possibly playing music for visitors of downtown. The “Music on Main” sound system project is expected to be up and running with the first set of speakers in October.  The BDA received a Technical Assistance Grant from the Wyoming Business Council and a separate grant from Rocky Mountain Power to help cover costs.  These grants are expected to cover roughly half of the total cost of the sound system.
