The Wyoming Coaches Association (WCA) and the National High School Athletic Coaches Association (NHSACA) have announce that Rich Murray of Niobrara County High School (Lusk), and Deb Murray of Niobrara County High School (Lusk) have been selected for induction into the National High School Coaches Hall of Fame.

Coach Rich Murray’s career spans more than 40 years, including stints at St. Mary’s/Seton Catholic High School and Niobrara County High School. He has been a part of one state championship and five state runner-up finishes in boys’ basketball, and three state championships and two state runner-up finishes in golf. Rich has been selected as WCA Coach of the Year once in boys’ basketball and three times in golf. He has also coached in the WCA All-Star basketball game four times. Rich was a NHSACA Boys’ Basketball Coach of the Year finalist in 2014 and was inducted into the Wyoming Coaches’ Association Hall of Fame in 2016.

Coach Deb Murray has spent her 31-year career at Niobrara County High School. During this time, she has been a part of six state championships and two state runner-ups in girls’ basketball, seven state championships and three state runner-ups in golf, and three state runner-up finishes in volleyball. In addition to coaching in the WCA All-Star basketball game, Deb served six years on the WCA Board of Directors as the Girls’ Basketball Rep, and she was honored as WCA girls’ basketball Coach of the Year three times. Deb has earned NFCA Section Eight Coach of the Year three times, and has been a NHSACA Girls’ Basketball Coach of the Year finalist three times. Deb was inducted into the Wyoming Coaches’ Association Hall of Fame in 2016.

Their induction ceremony will be held on June 26, 2018 at the NHSACA national convention in Sioux Falls, SD.
