Those who head up Red Grade Road in the coming weeks may notice an increase in logging traffic. Sheridan County's Board of Commissioners yesterday afternoon sent out a media release detailing the operations. Logs are to be hauled off of Red Grade beginning Wednesday of next week, between the hours of 7 am and 6 pm, each day of the week except for Saturday and Sunday.
Red Grade Road was the site of slash pile burning in December of 2012, and April of 2013. Slash piles were burned as part of a thinning project. County Administrator Renee Olbermeuller says this logging operation is completely grant funded from the Forest Service...
JL & Sons out of Buffalo is the contractor on the project.
The County says delays may be possible with this project.
