Graveside funeral services for Pat Foss, 87 year old Buffalo resident who passed away Sunday morning at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo, will be held Thursday, August 10th at 2:00 p.m. in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Big Horn. Visitation will be held at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until noon. Patricia Louise Foss was born on September 16, 1929 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Herbert and Gladys French.  The family was living in Powder River County, Montana when she was born and Pat went to grade school at the Bear Creek Country School in Powder River County.  She attended Sheridan High School where she graduated with the class of 1947.  She was married December 12, 1947 in Sheridan to Duane Foss and they made their home on Piney Creek north of Buffalo where they ranched and raised 4 children.  In 1959 they moved to the M and M Ranch, north of Buffalo where they lived until they were divorced in 1978.  Pat moved to Story where she owned and operated the Piney Creek Hair Boutique until she retired in 2000 and moved to Buffalo.  She moved into the Agape Living in 2012 and in July of 2013 she became a resident of Amie Holt Care Center where she lived until her death.

 

Pat was an avid gardener and also enjoyed cake decorating.  She was an excellent cook whose passion was spending time with her family and cooking for family, hired help and the many kids that were always around.

 

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Foss and his wife Jo Dee of Manderson, Wyoming and Joe Foss and his wife Linda of Buffalo;  two daughters, Carol DuVall of Everett, Washington and Cathy Waugh and her husband Tom of Wisconsin; one sister Betty McKenzie of Big Horn, Wyoming; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
