Pat died peacefully at home the morning of August 7th, 2017.  He was born on October 22, 1931 in Sheridan, WY, to Logan and Candace (Murphy) Killworth.  He was the youngest of five.  He had three brothers (Jack, Tom and Dave) and one sister (Kathleen), all deceased.

Pat attended Sacred Heart High School in Miles City, MT.  He married the love of his life, Margie Yvonne “Sweater Girl” Sumer on May 7th, 1952, in Miles City.  They had six children: Cindy (Kelly) Boyd, Susan (Dale) Holder, Logan (Valerie) Killworth, Mary (Mark) Guyer, Candace Killworth, and Shelly (Blair) Gustafson.

Pat saw active duty as a Marine in the Korean War from Oct. ’51-’53.  He moved his family back to Sheridan in 1968 to open Warehouse Market with his brother, Tom.  Today, the business is known as “Killy’s Smokehouse Deli, “ a nod to the nickname given Pat by his poker buddies.

After Margie died in 1982, Pat found love again with Margaret Redle.  They married on his birthday in 1983.  They had 25 wonderful years together until she passed in 2009.

Pat is survived by all his children, plus 12 grandkids, 10 great grandkids, numerous nieces and nephews, and his two step children, Matt and Peggy Redle.  He served on the board of directors at First Interstate Bank, was a lifelong member of the Elks Club, and was a member and past president of the Sheridan Country Club.  Pat was an avid sportsman.  He enjoyed shooting marbles and fishing as a young boy.  He was an excellent bowler (bowling night was date night for Pat and Margie and their friends Chuck and Joyce) until he found his true passion: golf!!  He recorded his one and only hole-in-one at the young age of 68!  It also gave him great pleasure to watch his grandchildren in various sports and academic activities.  Pat’s family was able to fulfill his wish that he remain in his home.  We would like to thank Patty Stewart of Phoenix Private Care and her family for giving our father such excellent and loving care in his final months.
