The winner of this year’s Annual Sheridan Christmas Stroll Button Design Contest will be announced at 4 p.m. on Thursday, with a special presentation by Sheridan Mayor Roger Miller at City Hall.

This is the 22nd year of the Stroll Button and contest, with Sheridan County students in Grades 1 through 6 invited to submit designs to the Sheridan County Chamber’s Christmas Stroll Committee for the Stroll Button Design Contest.

This year, the committee received more than 100 entries since the spring announcement earlier this year and selected the winning design based upon how well it reflects this year’s theme, “Star of Wonder.”

The winner will receive a framed copy of their button, the first button and $100 in Chamber Bucks.

Stroll buttons will be available for purchase by the public on Friday at the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Office at 171 N. Main St.

Local businesses will have them for sale next week at a cost of $5 each.

This year’s Christmas Stroll will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, in Downtown Sheridan.
