Vernon Al “Nez” Tietjen passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at the Westview Health Care Center.
Nez was born on December 1, 1935, in Gallup, NM to Albert V. and Rebecca Annis Roundy Tietjen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two nephews, Rob Powell and Darcy Wilhelm and three brothers-in-law, Chad Wilhelm, Jack Powell and Bud Cranford.
Nez is survived by his wife, Bonnie of Clearmont, four children, Blake (Joni) Tietjen of Clearmont, Tory Cusinato, of Las Vegas, NV, Stacey (Don) Roberts of Sheridan, Brad (Christa) Tietjen of Clearmont, eight grandchildren, Cole Tietjen, Keely (Shane) Rader, Bliss Roberts, Morgan Roberts, Trystan Cusinato, Kendall, Ava and Jedd Tietjen. He is also survived by four sisters; Leonora Wilhelm of Aztec, NM, Elda Powell of Bluff, UT, Kathern Cranford of Billings, MT and Arleen Hudson (Ernie) of Worland, WY as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 6, 2017, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Buffalo, WY. A reception will be immediately after the service at the church. Interment will be in Clearmont Cemetery.
